Prior to founding Schmick Law Offices in 1995, Ray was a partner for many years with a large Detroit-based law firm that he had joined upon graduation from law school. Ray held several leadership positions in that firm, including service as partner-in-charge of the firm’s Ann Arbor office from 1983 through 1995. Our firm maintains an excellent working relationship with Ray’s prior firm, and also with many other highly respected law firms.
Ray received his A.B. with honors from The University of Michigan in 1969, and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Wayne State University Law School in 1972.
Ray is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, The Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, the Metropolitan Detroit Bar Association, and the Washtenaw County Bar Association.
He has an “AV” rating from Martindale Hubbell, and has been listed since 1995 under the category Corporate Law in every edition of The Best Lawyers in America, published by Woodward/ White, Inc.
